  • Income Groups:
    • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Annual income up to ₹3 lakh.
    • Low-Income Group (LIG): Annual income between ₹3 lakh and ₹6 lakh.
    • Middle-Income Group (MIG-I): Annual income between ₹6 lakh and ₹12 lakh.
    • Middle-Income Group (MIG-II): Annual income between ₹12 lakh and ₹18 lakh.
  • Other Criteria:
    • The applicant or their family should not own a pucca (permanent) house in any part of India.
    • The property must be located in statutory towns as per the 2011 census or areas notified subsequently.

How to Apply for PM Awas Yojana

  1. Online Application:
    Visit the official PMAY website (pmaymis.gov.in) and submit the application with required details like Aadhaar number, income, and property location.
  2. Offline Application:
    Forms can be submitted at Common Service Centers (CSCs) in respective cities or towns.
  3. Loan Application:
    Approach banks or housing finance institutions participating in the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) for loan approval under PMAY.
